Resolved Question: What restaurants accommodate large parties?

A group of friends wants to go out for dinner before our school’s dance, “Snow Ball.” It’s a Venetian Masquerade that the school rented out a lodge for and I’m suuuuuuper excited. Problem is, our group will be 8-12 people. I have no idea what restaurants accommodate this party size. I need to be able to make reservations because it’s a HUGE dance. The restaurant needs to be in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, or Stafford VA. It could be a local place or a chain, but it needs to accommodate the parties and be a little nicer/more upscale.

For example:
Could you tell me if Olive Garden, Vinny’s, Outback, Bonefish, Melting Pot, etc. would work?

Best answer goes to the person who suggests restaurants that are pertinent to my situation, explains why, and lists them in order by most expensive (generally).
I just realized that I said our group size would be 8-12. Actually, it will be that many *and their dates.* It actually looks like it could be 9 people and their dates (most-likely, about 7 of them, meaning about 16 people). The answers so far are helpful, but I was also hoping for suggestions of restuarants. Pancho Villa’s, Olive Garden, Outback, and Longhorn are our main choices now, although I think Steak N’ Shake would be fun haha! But we really are looking for someplace nicer. Pancho Villa’s could definately accomadate the party, as could Vinny’s. Also, could we ask for seperate checks at the beginning for a party this size? And how much more than normal should we tip?
Also, if the dance begins at 7, what time should I make reservations at so that we’ll have enough time to eat and order and arrive (after a 30 min. drive) at about 6:50?
