Resolved Question: Who should i sue and how?

Rented a property on 01/09/2008 in UK. Paid deposit to letting agent. Property managed by management company for landlord. My deposit was not protected nor has it been repaid - which goes against my tenancy agreement (assured shorthold). I am going to sue for the available compensation (3 times the deposit). Who do I sue? The letting company, management company or landlord? Any advice on how to do this (without a solicitor) much appreciated.

Thanks
