Voting Question: Shoplifting and never been in trouble before?
So like a retard, I went into the store with my friend Courtney. We was at Walmart on Wedsday around 3:30pm, and I was buying a mountain dew. Well I ran into some other friends and ended up setting the mountain Dew down and talking for a bit in the clothes isle. My friend Courtney, wanted a shirt really bad and I did too. I said well I wanna try it on and later, I will come back when I get my check and get it. She said okay and walked into the dressed room with my shirt and hers. We wear the same size, so if it fits her, it’ll fit me. anyways, She came out with them and I was still talking to some friends walking aroudn the store holding the shirt. She had taken my purse to the bathroom for a tampon and came out with my purse. I handed her the shirt before she went into the bathroom cause she said while I looked through bra’s she’d hold it. I didn’t even think about it, but she had taken the tags off the shirts and put them in my purse. Like a retard, I carried the purse around and we left. When we left this guy had came out and said “Ladies come with me please.” When we did, they filed a report, took our names, and pictures and called the cops. The cops came and took us to jail, booked us in, and all that. We’re both charged with the same thing and we have to go to court on Aug 20th. But I’ve never been in trouble in my life. No tickets, nothing. She has.. so what I’m getting at, will I go back to jail at court or what will happen? I’m really scared and it was a huge mistake that I wish I could take back. Please don’t lecture me and all that. I’m 20 years old and I know I messed up. Just any ideas about going back to jail or what might happen? I rather pay fines then go to jail. Thank you..
