Resolved Question: WHY were the Bee Gees considered Australian and not British?

It’s something I’ve always wondered. The band consists of 3 British brothers who were born in Isle of Man, England but moved to Manchester when they were kids. They moved to Australia when they were in their 20’s and started singing but they are still British since they were born and raised in England to English parents and they have English accents? So why exactly are they considered Australian just because they lived there? The Jimi Hendrix Experience formed his band in UK, we don’t consider him British. The Killers and The Pretenders also formed their bands in UK, we don’t consider them British.

Why do Australians always claim British bands as there’s? (Also, most of AC/DC are Scottish and English, they only have one Australian drummer).

And The Bee Gees probably got their ideas from British invasion bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, David Bowie, The Smiths, The Kinks, The Animals, etc…
