Resolved Question: What is the name of the Scottish Ladies fashion house that is threatening to vacate Scotland?
Now before the Scottish wags come making insinuations. Bobby is not ‘licking both sides of the stamp’!
Owing to the political uncertainty and turmoil in Scotland over independence. Is this a sign of things to come?Where large companies vacate Scotland to set up in more stable areas of the British Isles.
In the event of a ‘Yes’ vote must English taxpayers involve themselves in establishing a stable economic Scotland.
Would I be correct in stating Scotland like any other democratic country obtains the political party to run the country it deserves?
Albainn. You may just be right.
I must admit I have had many a barrel of laughs over the years with these Scottish questions.
Why, some would even say some Scottish contributors have been scraping the barrel with some replies to my questions.
Thanks for taking it all in good part.
John D. Thank you so much for your fine answer. That is right Ultimo.
Is this the beginning of the mass exodus of corporate Scotland?
Can Salmond and Sturgeon afford to lose such fine upstanding companies in Scotland?
Does the owner know something we do not?
ajb to be honest you do have a point in what you say.
I for one will admit that Michelle Mone is one hell of a good looker.
But there are a few I could name that would not pass the test.May I refer you to Nicola Sturgeon for one!
Fair and honest reporting I say!
Grumpy, You do have a major point that needs exploring.
In truth. Some London finance referred it to the beginning of tartan stampede.
In truth, nine times out of ten it will mean more work for those dependable English taxpayers and less for the Scots.
Thanks Alex and Nicola.
Salt and vinegar, To be honest I am at a loss how to answer your reply.
I do not know if your input is underpinned by innocence or ignorance.
Now if you go independent and that is dependent if you can find enough people to be fooled by your idols Salmond and Sturgeon who will be the main treasurer?
The Welsh,Northern Irish and English have the Bank of England to dictate financial policy?
Who and where will the Scottish financial policy be controlled by and where.
Please do not say the Bank of Scotland! The English taxpayers own most of that!
That is where and what I mean by turmoil!
I am afraid that you are the one who has confused political leanings!
Grumpy if I can come back to you again if I may. I have had to laugh about the stamp with President Salmond’s head on it and those Scots spitting on the wrong side!
Andrew 87 is running true to form again. I am getting concerned about some of these Scottish Nationalists who accuse everyone of being confused when someone raises questions and brings information into the public arena that is not favourable to Scottish Nationalism.
I am not anti Scottish either in my social and political views.
But I have noticed over the years it is OK for Scots to criticise anything and everything English but the English are biased when they start explaining the weaknesses and shortcomings of Scotland.
Let us have less and less whining Scots and let Scotland have more patience and see the good in others especially English people.
Andrew 87. all this bluff ,bluster and insinuations of confusion of all things Scottish will not stand the test of time.
The problem between us is simply that you are looking at the problem through a blinkered perspective whilst I look at the independence problem with an open mind and comment as such.
Not long ago in our discussions during one of your ‘brow beating moods you challenged me to name a company that was thinking of moving out of Scotland.
I have identified one. Remember this named company is a Scottish home grown one at that.
Remember, It is Ultimo Lingerie today.Michelle Mone is just the tip of the iceberg.
She apparently has no wish to risk everything she has worked and slaved for just for Scottish nationalism.
Open your eyes and identify the real issues which are eventually you are championing Alex Salmond’s presidential aims
