Resolved Question: Should I take the job?

I applied for a job in a (very!) small family coffee shop on the Isle of Wight. I chose the coffee shop due to its proximity from my house and it does pay a comparatively better wage than all the other companies in the vicinity.

I got a phone call from the manager to say that he wanted to interview me. When I arrived, it turns out that the manager and manageress are only looking for one employee to take over the day to day running of the cafe and they will have little/no responsibility. However I will not be classed as a ,,supervisor/manger”. The wage is £8.50 an hour and I would be responsible for opning and closing the cafe, stock taking, cleaning, cooking, washing, cashing up at the end of the night, making up the float, ordering the supplies and taking and signing for the supplies.

Also at the interview the management appeared rude and abrupt and condescended everything I said e.g. ,,why do you want part time?” and I said ,,because that was the position advertised”.. ,,oh we only want full time, that was a mistake! We always use that sign, someone should change it”. Confused I just sat there and she said ,,so do you still want the full time position?” and so I said ,,Yes”. I was successful in the interview.

Should I take it? Is it worth it?
