Venetian Isles

My dad is getting older and he thinks he is sick. I am currently engaged but me and my fiance have not told anybody yet because we have deicded to wait until we are both finished finacially ready to provide for our future together. We picked the our real anniversary date for our wedding date. We both dont like the idea of switching “our day” haha!

my father has only met my fiance ONCE and it did NOT go well. I do not get along with my dad because of how unsupportive and negative to me he was in my early teenage years. My father has hated him since day one and even put hands on him before. My mother who I get along with loves my fiance, Bryan.

My issue is my dad is getting even more sick and I don’t know if I even want him walking me down the isle. I feel I will not have anybody to. It is a question I ask myself a lot. My fiance’s family lives a few hours away and my fiance stopped talking to them for me. He is a Jehovah’s Witness and they did not want him with me, a non-witness. I have never met them. I may ask my fiance’s brother or HIS dad to walk me down the isle. Is that wrong? By the way, his brother is a sweet heart and he is ok with me not being a witness, unlike the rest of his family so far.

I’m only 14, but I was wondering…since the bride’s dad walks her down the isle, who will walk me down the isle when I get married? My dad passed away when I was young… so traditionally, who would be the next person in line haha. Thanks

my father passwed away in 2007 when I was 11. im currently 13, going on 14 and im dreaming about my wedding. I knwo that As I walk down the isle, Im going to have blue flower ptals (my dads favorutie color) and his picture by the cake in his memory.. but who would walk me down? I dont picture my mother and all my grand parents are deceased.

Would it be alright for my best guy friend to walk me down? I was thinking one that has known me my entire life. Or would it be nicer for me to go myself?
