Open Question: I was asked to be a bridesmaid, but I do not understand why?
A friend of mine is getting married and she asked me to be a bridesmaid, but none of the bridal party is playing a role or helping her for her wedding.
-She chose the dress herself.
-Is planning the bridal shower herself.
-Is having a very small ceremony, none of us will be walking down the isle. The entire bridal party (including maid of honor and best man) will be sitting down with the guests.
So basically, we are only there for pictures and walking into the reception. I do not understand this, I don’t know what’s the point of having us there. I’m not sure if it’s worth spending $150 on the dress of her choice.
Has anyone seen a wedding like this where the bridal party played no role in the wedding?
